Who We Are
The Community Association for the Welfare of School Children (CAWSC):

is a non-profit United Way assisted agency;

was established in January 1959 and incorporated on December 10, 1963;

is under the leadership of a Board of Directors with the Executive Director reporting to the Board;

is staffed by paid employees and volunteers; and

has partnerships or collaborations with:

Our Mission
CAWSC provides academic reinforcement and enrichment activities to school-aged children in East Baton Rouge Parish in partnership with their families and collaboration with other agencies.
